New Feature: Dayparting

Updated: May 19, 2023

If you’ve never heard of a strategy called dayparting, you’ve come to the right place! Dayparting is actually a simple concept: you set a schedule so your ad campaigns run during certain days and times. The idea here is to help you maximize your ads’ visibility as well as the overall results of your campaigns.

Even though the practice of dayparting, or ad scheduling as it is also referred to, is well-known, most Amazon Sellers don’t utilize it as often as they should. They are aware of it and even how it works, but in order to do it effectively, it takes a fair amount of effort and analysis to make it work correctly. Dayparting takes an investment of time and effort, but it can help improve your advertising return-on-investment (ROI).

Dayparting is helpful because your ads will run only during (hopefully) the days and times that most people are shopping. A good place to start is to set your ads to not run during overnight hours when traffic is usually really low. If you want to do in-depth testing, you can set up identical campaigns that each run at different days and times to see which perform the best. This can help you narrow down your dayparting strategy to the days and times that work best for your business.

New Sellozo Feature Highlight: Dayparting

Dayparting is now a live feature on the Sellozo platform! We received many requests from our customers to have dayparting capabilities added to our platform and we’re proud to announce it is now available!

To set up dayparting in your Sellozo account, start by navigating to the PPC Manager.

Within the PPC Manager, find the green gears box next to the campaign(s) you want to set up dayparting for and click it to reveal the dropdown menu.

On this dropdown menu, select ‘Dayparting.’ This will open the slide-in ‘Adjust Dayparting’ menu on the right side of the screen.

On the ‘Adjust Dayparting’ menu, you can then select the time zone from the dropdown menu at the top that you’d like to adjust. By default, all boxes will be checked. You can select the days and hours of each day you don’t want to run. You can select, hold and drag a checked or unchecked box and it will copy to as many boxes as you like. If you select a specific day (row) or hour (column) and click it, it will check or uncheck all boxes in that row or column. There is also a ‘Reset’ button in the top left corner of the table that will check all unchecked boxes when clicked.

Make sure you select ‘Apply Changes’ before exiting the menu to save all of your changes!
