New Amazon Advertising Feature: Reorder Coupons

Staying on top of the latest advertising features can be the key to maximizing your sales potential on Amazon. Recently, a new addition has emerged in the advertising arsenal – Reorder Coupons. In this blog post, we'll delve into the details of this new feature and as well as the benefits these new coupons can have on your advertising strategy.

Understanding Reorder Coupons

Reorder Coupons enable sellers to offer targeted discounts to customers who have previously purchased their products but haven't reordered within the expected timeframe. They work very similarly to regular coupons with the shopper able to clip the coupon and apply it to their purchase.

Setting Up Your Reorder Coupon

To set up a Reorder Coupon, navigate through the advertising section on Amazon Seller Central and then click on the 'Coupons' tab and select the newly added 'Reorder Coupons' option. The process is quite similar to creating standard coupons:

  • Title and ASIN: Provide a title for your coupon and enter the ASIN of the product you want to promote.

  • Duration and Discount: Specify the coupon duration and the discount percentage or amount.

  • Redemption Limit and Budget: Decide on the redemption limit per customer and set a budget for your coupon.

  • Product Information: Enter the product details, such as the name and any relevant information.

  • Targeting Reorder Customers: Select the option to target customers who have previously purchased but haven't reordered.

  • Exciting Possibilities: Although the dropdown menu for targeting, akin to brand-tailored promotions, currently has only one option available, it hints at the possibility of Amazon introducing additional targeting options in the future. This could provide sellers with more refined strategies to reach their audience effectively.

The new Reorder Coupons are as simple to set up as standard coupons and the potential to re-engage customers who have previously purchased but not reordered adds a valuable dimension to Amazon’s promotional toolkit. As sellers explore and experiment with this new feature, it will be intriguing to see the impact of Reorder Coupons on sales and customer retention.

We are excited about this new feature as it adds a layer of customization and precision to an already great promotional tool. As Amazon continues to evolve, staying informed and adapting to these new features can give you a competitive edge in the world of eCommerce.
