Amazon FBA Guide for Beginners – Free eBook!

Updated: May 5, 2023

Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is a service that Amazon provides for sellers wanting to avoid the hassle of packing and shipping their products directly to the customer. By using Amazon FBA, sellers are paying Amazon to take over the storage, picking, shipment packing, and shipping to customers rather than dealing with all of it themselves.

Another great perk of this service is that Amazon takes care of all the customer service. If there ends up being a problem, Amazon will handle the customer’s complaint and remedy it as best they can. This is another task sellers don’t have to deal with by using FBA. Customer service can be time consuming and takes a certain kind of finesse, so having Amazon handle it is an added benefit to using Amazon FBA.

Along with having Amazon provide customer service through FBA, customers who have Prime memberships get free two-day (or faster) shipping. Also, your products become Prime eligible, which is one of the big reasons customers love having a membership. They are willing to pay extra money in order to get products super fast, and if you use it, you become part of the catalog of products that Prime members can get quickly. This means your products are much more likely to get bought by customers!

The process for Amazon FBA is super simple:

  1. Seller send their products to Amazon.

  2. Amazon stores the products in their warehouses.

  3. Once an order is placed by a customer, Amazon will pick, pack, ship and track the order for the seller.

  4. Amazon will handle any returns or refunds, as well as customer service on behalf of the seller.
